I stumbled on this Internet2 Glossary Guide for the consortium that is partnering universities, industry and government in advanced networking. The Internet2 is developing and addressing applications and "middleware". Use the glossary for its use but consider exploring the links to the left. Under middleware for example, I found discussion of Public Key Infrastructure and other items that are topics in the AIS class.

This link has an abundance of information related to outsourcing. There are current articles, and whitepapers on the topic. In addition. there are forums by industry. For example under accounting, two articles that caught my interest were about a real estate company that had advantages from outsourcing accounting, and a white paper about transition issues in year 1 of outsourcing. However, you have to provide extra information to get the free copy of the white paper. Still this source may be of interest to you.

CFO IT September 15, 2003 This article discusses the results of a July survey of CFOs that found intent to increase spending in the field of IT, as well as postitive perceptions of IT in terms of strategic advantage. Be aware that there are four pages of results for this survey. Notice which items are leading the pack in terms of projected spending for the next year - they are security, mobile computing and ecommerce initiatives.
