Open source taking over Europe by Gavin Clarke in San Francisco
This brief article reports that a survey of 900 respondents indicated nearly half of local governments in Europe who responded are using open source software. Also interesting is that almost one third do not realize that they are using it, but they are. In Europe, the open source movement goes by an acronym of FLOSS, which stands for Free/Libre/Open Source Software.
